Sheet Masks - All the Rage . . .

If you're reading this, we know you value your skin. But through the daily woes of work, family, and general life, we can sometimes forget to give our face a little extra TLC.

Enter Sheet Masks…. Sheet masks are the ~Seoul~of Korean skincare favorites. In recent years, we've seen sheet masks emerged in the U.S. market as a new trendy way to take care of our skin.

These inexpensive mini facials give the skin intense hydration, suppleness, and brightening effects in less than half an hour! Just like any beauty product, they range in function, materials, and ingredients, but the majority of sheet masks are typically made for brightening, moisturizing, acne control, pore care or anti-aging effects.

These bad boys could NOT be simpler to use. You literally just take it out of its packaging and stick it on your face.  Furthermore, they are pre-saturated with essences containing nourishing active ingredients such as aloe vera, hyaluronic acid, peptides, ceramide, manuka honey and snail extract.  When placed on your face, these essences penetrate your skin with moisture, antioxidants and vitamins. It provides a skin-nourishing, moisturizing boost that maximizes treatment to your skin.

FYI: While sheet masks can’t replace a full skin care regimen, they can help to improve uneven skin tone, fine lines, wrinkles, hydration and other skin conditions.

How do you incorporate sheet masks into your daily skincare regimen?

There is no set golden rule on the order you should fit the sheet masks into your routine. The general recommended routine is to cleanse, tone, sheet mask and then moisturize afterwards. Sheet masks are great to use at night or during the morning before applying makeup.

How often should the sheet mask be used?

Our recommendation is applying a mask 1-2 times a week. This is sufficient to get that dewy K-Beauty glow.

How long do I leave a sheet mask on?

15-20 minutes. Any longer won't give you any extra benefits and may actually cause a reversal effect because the sheet will begin to reabsorb the moisture from the skin--so don't leave a sheet mask on overnight!

Should extra essence in the bag be thrown away?

Waste not, want not! Apply the leftover essence all over the arms, neck, elbows and knees for extra moisture and nutrition.

Quick How-To on Sheet Masking:

Remove mask from the package.

Carefully unfold the sheet mask and place it on your face aligning the holes to your eyes, nose, and mouth. If there is any remaining essence left in the bag, pat the extra essence all over your neck, arms, elbows, knees, etc.

Sit back and relax for 15-25 minutes.

Peel off the mask and discard the sheet mask.

Gently pat the essence into your face for maximum absorption.

Moisturize the face to seal in all of the nutrients.
